Rooted in empathy and partnership

Everyone wants to contribute. Trust them. Leaders are everywhere. Find them. Some people are on a mission. Celebrate them. Others wish things were different. Listen to them. Everybody matters. Show them. We don’t just need a new guide to leading in times of change or adversity. We need a complete rethink, a revolution.
— Chapman, CEO Barry-Wehmiller

John Featherby

Shoremount was started by John Featherby in 2010, combining his personal and professional experience to help organisations fulfil their whole potential.

Born into a family that were investors and pioneers in the current social impact and “business as a force for good” movements during the 80s/90s/00s, John has spent a lifetime around, and contributing to, conversations of change, including:

  • Executives wanting to reimagine their roles and workplaces

  • Managers hoping to build holistically impactful and successful teams

  • Landed wealth & family offices exploring spirituality and stewardship

  • Public figures needing support with no agenda

  • Change movements needing to broaden their network

John is Senior Advisor to Blueprint for Better Business, helping corporates and institutions prosper whilst better serving society. He sits on the Investment Committee for Resonance’s multi-award winning, £195M social impact funds. Prior to Shoremount, John was in real estate and corporate finance. He holds an MA from CASS Business School.

John is married to Beth and is father to Frederick, Charles, Wilbur and Felicity. He lives in Harpenden, works in London, holidays in Cornwall.
