Character
Formation

For high responsibility individuals
with high responsibility mindsets

Success and suffering are life’s two great character traps. We all suffer, but not everyone knows the particular burden of success.

Isolation. Options. Overcommitment. Exhaustion. Ego. Status. Temptation. Adulation. Hubris. Entitlement. Outbursts. Identity.

But it is particularly challenging in today’s culture where on the one hand they are are outsized in frequency and impact but on the other social character formation is at historic lows.

We provide that understanding, informed, empathetic support.

We work one-to-one with people with responsibility or success who recognise their character is both an asset and a liability.

For some, it may even represent the last great adventure to conquer: themselves.

Sound familiar? Let’s talk.

What is our approach?

Character formation is very like physical fitness: it has a fixed reality to it. There is no way around it: some things help more than others, some don’t at all and particular things happens when you do it well.

We take those patterns that have pedigree across the wisdom traditions, supported by social science, and contextualise them to your challenges.

What is the investment?

Our typical starting programme is a 6 - 12 month process. We do have a shorter, online introduction but we encourage an engagement that pursues change in context beyond an introductory phase.

Our Gold Package is aimed at those who want extended in person support: in person retreats, travel, in person moments of application etc.

“John is a uniquely gifted coach and advisor. He brings a warmth and wisdom that combines a deep and practical understanding of business challenges with a profoundly human empathy.

John's counsel, support and practical guidance was absolutely invaluable at a time of major professional and personal challenge and I would have struggled to navigate it without him.”
